An abundant life still contains uncertainty. Wealth can create more responsibility. Leadership creates more decisions. Building something lasting creates concerns about its future.

Cast Your Care upon God, not the Self
“Casting all your care upon him;
for he careth for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7, KJV
The Word: “Casting”
The Greek word translated “casting” is epiriptō, meaning to throw upon, cast upon, or place upon.
The image is physical: a weight is moved from one person to another.
Take the weight of your concerns
and place them upon God.
The Word: “Care”
The Greek word merimna refers to anxiety, worry, concern, or mental preoccupation.
That includes concerns about provision, relationships, decisions, reputation, work, money, family, and the future.
Then comes the reason:
“For he careth for you.”
God’s care makes the transfer possible.
The Designer Math:
CONCERNS + SELF = WEIGHT
therefore
Weight - Self = Concern
Casting a concern elsewhere released the self, and therefore , the weight.
Sometimes you might feel you must hold on to the weight as that care is your complete responsibility. Yet if you can separate the weight of that care, then you can reduce the weight from self.
You see—
The care still exists.
The responsibility still exists.
The weight of carrying the outcome
has been transferred.

Faith allows the assignment to remain fully engaged while the weight of the outcome is entrusted to God.
That creates greater capacity for generosity, leadership, and meaningful living.
The luxury connection is stewardship of capacity.
Cast the care. Keep the assignment. Steward what has been entrusted.
